Well we haven't blogged in awhile and figured, why not give it a try again! YAY!
So where did our young couple last leave you....Looks like 2015! Wow, a LOT has happened in two years. So here's the short story: We said "PEACE OUT!" to Texas in March of 2016 and "Hello!" to Ohio. Amanda is still working in higher education for the Methodists and I'm working as a chaplain...for the Methodists. We can't seem to escape them! In December of 2016 we bought our first house and set down our roots in the city of Delaware. We are loving Delaware and our neighbors. In January of this year, I visited our local hospital with a lovely TBI (traumatic brain injury). Thankfully I have since recovered and the only side effect seems I talk more. Then in July we visited our local REI and spent way too much money on backpacking and hiking gear. Now we have caught backpacking fever.
It's backpacking fever that brings us to this post. We thought, why not share our adventures with you all. So starting from this day forward, we wanted to share with you all our adventures. This month our big adventure will be on Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail in Pennsylvania. The trail itself is 70 miles long. We won't be able to do the whole hike, due to our time limit, but we do plan on doing about 30 miles. So stay tuned!
Until then, here's a recent photo from our overnight at Wildcat Hollow. The trees were beautiful with their changing colors. As always, the forest was very peaceful. And yes, it was 35 degrees in October!
